OUTSTANDING SHOW on 11/15/25 - WOW!. Nice venue, excellent sound person and INCREDIBLE band. Great vibe and very receptive audience.

The band was great, but the sound system / acoustics were bad; Some of the piano notes resonated in the space and were painful to listen to. The sound system made the vocalist seem muffled and boomy. It was so bad that the vocalist asked the tech to "turn down the monitor"

I watched Veotis at this venue. I personally prefer spots where I can see performers very close, and the Break Room gives you just that. The sound was a little too loud since it's a small room. The other downside is that restrooms are outside the venue in the back. I'd like to have restrooms inside the venue instead.

Went to The Hang’s inaugural show with Howard Wiley. It was a dope show. I loved being in the intimate setting listening to live music. We enjoyed the Q&A.

I love going to shows at the Break Room. So far we've seen Being and Becoming (Peter Evans) and Rachel Therrien. I love the intimate venue space and the "Tiny Desk" feel, since it also serves as the office space for San José Jazz. They've got a nice little bar as well. Can't wait to come back for The Bad Plus in May. I also recommend their "Break Room Backer" membership plan because it's a great deal, especially if you want to come to a few shows throughout the year. Come out and support our local jazz scene if you can! And come to Summer Fest 2025!
