Been a guitar player / collector for 30 years! This is a wonder shop with an excellent staff! Scott took care of me and my friend and help him with his father’s 1961 Gibson ES-345! Highly recommended shop !

I had an awesome experience going in looking for a second guitar just to play around with. I was looking at a nylon string guitar and Rich was absolutely awesome in helping me out with the process and giving me input on a lot of things I did not know. Definitely recommend seeing Rich in sales... Either way, this place is nice, clean and possibly has everything you want and should definitely stop in to check them out.. see Rich..

SKIP'S is hands down the best music store left standing in the Sacramento area having lived here for the last 25 years I can say I miss my guitar showcase in San Jose however Skips has filled that void nicely, though as a bass player we always wish we had more representation with that being said they almost always have what I need and special shout out to John Degate he is an absolute Talent at whatever he does he has helped me in backline kept me in budget set up perfectly helped me pick it up my daughter's first keyboard did not try to push me out of what her needs were which thankfully perfectly as she ends up becoming a semi accomplished guitar player so money not wasted on gear she did not need went to money well worth her guitar collection, I have nothing but positive things to say I am glad of the new location as it is just a bit easier coming down from Folsom that being said Auburn Boulevard wasn't that hard still absolutely beautiful store have not yet toured the vault, somehow I don't think I want to as they do offer credit there as well LOL many Praises go out very happy to see fresh line of Ashdown bass rigs still waiting on the Studio Mini Rig 250 however they are aware and as soon as it arrives it will probably be gone, thank you to everyone there... again special shout out to John he is an amazing employee and musician to boot

Special thanks to the whole crew, but Rich is the guy to talk to over there. He's an old school guitar guy who really knows his stuff, and if he doesn't know the answer to your question, he'll find it before you leave the store. Thanks Rich, and thank you Skips.

Only been to skips music a few times, always a good experience. Went in to just look around, just happened to have the guitar I've been looking at for a few months hanging on the shelf. Asked Chad for some help to get it off the top rack for me. He gave me some details about the deals they had going on on some of the models including the one I was interested in. Ended up being to good of a deal to pass up so went home with my first Gibson. Thanks again Chad for all the help and info and making the experience awesome.
