I've been rehab-ing my knee there for about a year now pre and post surgery. I feel like Norm walking into Cheers when I'm there. All the staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They listen when I need modifications, push me enough so that I can't wimp out but that I don't hurt myself, and are encouraging in a genuine way. In addition to bi-weekly sessions, I've been attending their Wednesday fitness classes. It's like HIIT within reason and appropriate adjustments are made so that I can handle the exercises safely while working up a sweat. I get lots of personal attention, I feel heard, and I never dread going in. I know that if I need to take it a little easier, stretch more, or want to go harder that they will listen to me. I mostly work with Dr. Fong, but have seen Dr. Xie when she is unavailable. Moving from one doctor to another or one trainer to another feels seamless and you can't go wrong with anyone there. If you need PT, want a good workout or both, I highly recommend you check them out!

Brian and Dr Fong have been my dream team for almost a year now. I had a fractured sacrum and they have made me better than ever. Even a year after my injury, I still love coming for conditioning and preventative care! The office is always running on time and truly has been such a fun place to heal.

I saw Dr. Ivy Xie for 4 months for runners' knee and would highly recommend her. She was thoughtful, effective, and listens very closely to your problems and goals to choose good exercises. The aides are all friendly, but have mixed capabilities; some have limited ability or desire to adjust the exercises based on what you're experiencing.

I worked with Ivy for some ankle/lower leg tendon problems from running and she was fantastic. With her guidance, I went from barely being able to walk my dog to being able to finish the SF Half Marathon this past weekend! She analyzed my running form on the treadmill and quickly sussed out my deficits and gave me all the exercises and running form coaching that I needed to succeed. The PT aides I worked with were great as well. Thanks for teaching me to run, Ivy!

I'm really happy with the results I've gotten from SOMA Sport & Physio over the past few years. Most recently, Ivy helped me with severe knee pain due to a meniscus tear and other problems. The exercises she gave me have really helped, and the hands-on work that the physical therapists at SOMA do is much appreciated. All of the staff members at SOMA are super helpful and friendly.
