Working with this company was great. The owner was very communicative with us during the initial planning of our project and the pricing for our projects were great! James Black, who completed the work on our projects was amazing! We are extremely happy with the barn doors that he installed in our bathroom, as well as the painting of the walls and ceiling, and removal and cleanup of the bathroom door and window frames. James was also very patient with us when it came to all the questions and changes we had with our projects. We will definitely be utilizing Southern Home Handyman for any of our future projects.

We wanted the pipes in our crawlspace insulated. Joseph and Michael were amazingly prompt in their response. Michael discovered a leak that we were totally unaware of, that he fixed, again, with amazing promptness.

Joe and his team did an excellent job with re-caulking my many windows. The guys working on the job were professional and clean and got the work done quickly. I intend to use them for other projects very soon.

Sadly I have to give this business a minus review they came out and stained my outside patio deck I paid 650.00 bill was 500 and 150 tip and in less than 3 months the stain coloring faded to almost the original deck color . 3 months ? So I contacted the owner by phone I did call him he wanted me to contact ready seal I said why should I call them you did the work and supplied the materials don’t you stand by your work. HE Said, he would call them and call me back we spoke sometime in July 2024 . It was 10 minute phone call at most . Never got a return call so i am saddened to see how far someone will go to lie about my truthful experience .I got no where clearly this company does not stand by their work after we spoke the owner said he would get back to me never did and this is the is point of contention per his response he said he called me and offered to repair the work NEVER HAPPENED his fabricated story should be published as a fantasy and what is more aggravating is I gave him and excellent tip for the work 150 dollars.my pictures speak volumes. His also indicates that we developed a relationship and we are very familiar. I met him one time for five minutes and I talked on the phone with him one time I did meet his workers and I was very kind to them offered them drinks because it was very hot outside when they were doing the deck in May 2024. His story about three week, waitlist and rushing and requesting that never happened. and yes when they finish the deck it did looked beautiful. That’s why I gave him a tip, but I expected it to last at least one or two years, not three months. his indication that I was demanding and snapped my fingers. I don’t know who he was talking to, but he certainly wasn’t me. Great read though.😯 Update it’s now costing me 4 k to repair the damage cause by their poor work This response is pure fabrication never happened and the owner sent me an email threatening me to sue me for harassment disparagement and slander because of my truthful post and statement of experience which makes me even more concerned about how this company responds to honest customer feedback Also my plants were put on this deck in April 2025 he did the work May 2024 such baloney is sad .the plastic rug was put down in May 2025 to hide the damage done over a year prior .

My experience was Flawless. Joseph and John were both professional and displayed excellent customer service. Their communication was both timely and detailed. As far as the work everything agreed upon was completed and explained step by step. I will definitely come back when I need my fense stained/sealed. Highly recommend!!!! Picture my not show the difference with before & after stain but great job in person
