Best grooming and hair cuts around. My Nana dog always looks her best when she visits Spoiled Petz. Lately, I have been disappointed with the service our dog has received. The turn over of staff is part of the problem. The other part has been communication. I am hoping these issues are only temporary as many companies are having similar problems. Regardless, when I choose to spend my money for a service, I expect that I will not have to compromise on quality.

I love this place. I've been coming here for several years. I trust them. I have 2 very furry dogs and they have done a great job. They were there today and it only took 2 hours before I got the text and call they were ready. Our past appointments last between 3 to 4 hours. Being a groomer looks like hard work and they work hard and have to deal with all kinds of behaviors. They have a cute shop with homemade cookie treats too. They are my saviors. Thank you Spoiled Petz in NW Reno!

I’ve been taking my dogs here for about a year and my most recent grooming was a total disappointment. I think the main issue stems from poor internal communication and turnover of staff (over the past year my dogs have been groomed by at least 3 different people). When I went this week they were groomed by someone new since the last person who groomed them (Sissy, who always did a great job) left. At drop off I was asked what I wanted done and provided instructions trying to explain that as terriers I did not want their torso clipped in order to preserve their wiry outer coat. I did my best to explain that I wanted everything else cut short and cleaned up pointing out some specific areas I wanted short that I felt were missed last time (legs, beards, etc). After explaining everything to the woman who checked me in she then told me she wasn’t even the one grooming them, which made me nervous since she took no notes. When I picked up my dogs they were clean and bathed but barely even trimmed other than the spots I had tried to highlight as being missed last time. Before leaving I said I usually liked the face shorter and was told by their groomer that there hadn’t been any notes so she did the best she could. Understandable, but it’s unclear to me why notes weren’t taken by the woman checking me in if she wasn’t the one who was going to groom them (or why notes weren’t saved from past visits where I was happy with the service I received). When dropping off your dog if seeing someone new I’d recommend being certain you are speaking to the person who will groom your dog or ask to leave written notes if that is assumed to be the customer’s responsibility.

My chow chow Luther is an 85-pound handful for any groomer. When he is uncooperative, nothing gets done. The groomers here acknowledge his chowness, and somehow return a clean, silky and happy dog. Ultimately he's a cool customer, and I'm grateful they bring out the best in him every time. We go to Spoiled Petz exclusively for about two years now.

Highly recommend Spoiled Petz! Definitely a 5 Star experience for my puppy! Great staff, and most importantly my puppy Pi had an amazing experience, in which I totally trusted the groomer (who was an Harry Potter fan!) and the staff! My puppy Pi was perfect! He had a wonderful experience, and that’s what is important! Also, important was the trust that I put into the professionalism of the entire staff. A bit of a snag at first, in which a misunderstanding was resolved by the courteous and kind owner. All-in-all, I highly recommend taking your pooch to Spoiled Petz. 5 stars! **And have a really super WONDERFUL day to the Spoiled Petz!
