This spot has a great atmosphere, especially because it’s right by the river. Sitting near the water makes it feel calm and refreshing, and it’s a perfect place to take a break. The avocado sandwich is a must-try—fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. It’s especially ideal if you’re biking along the river and want a nice mid-ride stop to relax and refuel. The only downside is parking. Finding a parking spot can be pretty challenging and takes away a bit from the overall experience. Still, once you’re there, the vibe and the food make it worth the visit. I’d definitely come back, especially on a bike.

Good burger, a little on the pricey side, but the fries were MASSIVE. Like, accidentally ordered-for-the-table massive. No complaints there. The place itself is extremely wholesome in that very specific Silver Lake way. Lots of hemp-and-granola energy, bikes leaned against walls, and a crowd that collectively feels like they want you to know they voted for Obama… twice. The Spoke Burger hits, the waffle fries come in aggressively generous portions, and the vibe is relaxed and friendly. You’re paying a bit extra, sure, but you’re also paying for the atmosphere, and in this case, it kind of works. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Do a couple laps, lower your expectations, or mentally prepare to walk.

Casual, fun, vibrant spot along the bike path along the LA River in north east Los Angeles Elysian Valley neighborhood, also known as Frogtown. Fresh food with a menu stretching from breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Found this place a while back on a stroll along the LA river and kept meaning to come back and check it out. So glad I did because the food was so good ( LOVED the crispy potatoes) , the coffee/drinks selection is A+. It’s counter service only , but the person taking our order was lovely. The place itself is so so cute too. Colorful and laid back. There’s also bike rentals there as well. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

This is the cutest little cafe! My friend and I rode by the river to get here and what a pleasant afternoon activity! We saw people bringing their food and eating right by the river and there are a bunch of tables at the cafe to choose from. We came on a Monday afternoon so it wasn’t crowded. There are a few outlets if you wanted to bring your computer or charge your bike. The weekend might be trickier to find an outlet. We both loved the coffee! The orange chocolate cappuccino tasted like Terry’s Chocolate! The food was good but $32 for a burger and fries plus an iced coffee is a bit on the pricier side for my taste.
