Yall where here for me when rei wasnt so... 5 stars. I like shopping here overall. Not much i want but i got essentials from here and will always go here when i am in berkeley. Update. Some employees have been less than helpful. A few, very much. Gonna knock service down a few. Camping was 50/50 but the best overall. Bikes was good also. Carhartt is ok and same for jackets. Smartwool is good. Selection could improve a lot. Service also for some workers. Some folks are very good. Five stars local. 4 stars globally. Kudos for helping homeless.

I got fitted for ski boots here and was so impressed! They really took their time to explain everything and to make sure the fit was right. Amazing customer service. Erin helped me and he was awesome!

We've been Basmenteers for a while, and can find just about any sporting good we need there. We came in to get a new snowboard setup and Brandon was especially helpful with boot fitting and knowledgeable about all the equipment. Very happy with our purchase!

Employees were very helpful when I couldn’t find a pair of shoes in the size I wanted. They sent an invoice via email and the shoes will be delivered to my house! Also the employees in the ski rental area were very patient and helpful when my son needed to make changes to his reservation. Very good experience today. And my dog enjoyed the visit as well!!

TRUSTED SELLER! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I purchased an e-bike and both Gabriel and Lucas provided exemplary service. They, and whoever hired them, deserve a raise. They both took their time to explain all my options so I could decide what to purchase without feeling pressured. Since I hadn’t intended on bringing a bike home my initial visit, I was unsure I would be able to transport everything I had with me. Gabriel’s ingenuity and problem solving ensured I was able to ride home with ease by impressively using a combination of zip ties, tape, and my gym bag strap to secure the load. Two other team members also ensured that I’ll be a repeat customer by helping me find the perfect helmet, and helping me both carry and secure the ridiculously heavy chain lock I purchased. I’ll be purchasing another e-bike shortly, and I will definitely be buying it from Sports Basement! Thank you Berkeley Sports Basement Team!
