I recently watched the Coronado Concert Band and what a night!!! This venue is classic and historic. A must see and enjoy. You can simply sit in the bench seats without any concert going on. Just enjoy.

Yesterday evening I had the privilege of attending a Not-So-Silent movie event at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion with Sue, and Dennis & Denise Carreon. Three very old silent Laurel & Hardy movies were shown, with music provided for each movie by our host, Organist Russ Peck. It was a magical event and I felt so privileged to be there.

Free organ concert. We had the opportunity to enjoy the annual organ festival. This was not only an organ concert but had a symphony too! All volunteers! Always a treat! Check out the Balboa Park site for monthly events.

It’s located right beside the Japanese garden. This is the World’s Largest Outdoor Musical Instrument! They’ve got several free outdoor concerts perfect for families and little one. Plenty of sitting area and for kids to roam around if they can sit still. If you’re in the area or in the Balboa park, definitely check them out. It’s quite an experience on its own. Pick a day with good weather and bring a hat.
