Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! This was my first class with Sur la Table and I'm definitely signing up for MORE! Chef Joe is the perfect instructor. The class was so much fun and informative with great techniques included. I'm so happy that I took this class.

I am extremely disappointed and honestly really upset by the experience I had here yesterday. The class description clearly stated that “we work in groups of 4, so you will work closely with others and will share a prep station and ingredients,” but that was not the experience at all. The class was incredibly overcrowded and packed far beyond what seemed reasonable. There was barely any room to move, let alone comfortably cook. Instead of working in groups of 4 as advertised, it felt chaotic and overcrowded, and the lack of space made the entire experience stressful rather than enjoyable. The class was also supposed to begin at 4:00, but it did not start on time. Because of the delayed start, it felt like the chef was rushing through everything for the rest of the class. The entire experience felt hurried, disorganized, and poorly managed. The most upsetting part was the food safety issue. The chicken was raw. I am currently pregnant, and consuming undercooked chicken is a serious health risk for me and my baby. I had to specifically ask for my chicken to be put back in the oven, and even after that, it still came out pink. This is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, my friend who attended with me was throwing up afterward, and her chicken was also raw. That is beyond disappointing — it is dangerous. On top of all of this, we didn’t even receive all of the ingredients that were supposed to be included. There wasn’t enough asparagus for everyone, which only added to the feeling that the class was oversold and poorly planned. For the price we paid, this experience was extremely disappointing and nowhere near what was promised. I expected a fun, organized cooking class, and instead left feeling frustrated, concerned, and honestly very let down.

Took a cooking class at Sur La Table and had a great experience. The menu was steak and gnocchi, with chocolate biscotti for dessert, and everything turned out incredible. The instructor did an excellent job breaking things down step-by-step, so it felt approachable. The gnocchi was a highlight—learning how to make it from scratch was surprisingly fun and something I’ll actually try again at home. The atmosphere was relaxed, interactive, and well-organized. It’s a great mix of learning and hands-on cooking without feeling overwhelming. Plus, getting to enjoy what you made at the end made it even better. Highly recommend for a date night, team outing, or just trying something new.
