If I could give six stars, I would. From start to finish, the food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. The experience began with seamless communication from the GM, Cameron, who provided clear details via text and email on how to find the restaurant and what to expect. I arrived early for the pre-dinner welcome beverage and canapes in their spacious, comfortable lounge. As a solo diner, I loved the social aspect; I hit it off with a lovely couple and later a group of eight friends who were incredibly gracious and engaging throughout the two-hour meal. The personalized touch of having our names at our assigned seats was a thoughtful detail that made the evening feel special (and helped me remember my neighbors' names!). The staff was impeccable, they balanced expert storytelling about the fish with attentive service, all while subtly tailoring dishes to our preferences without interrupting the flow of conversation. I truly can’t wait to return with a group of my own friends!

Intimate atmosphere a seat about maybe 8 to 10 people . very much a speakeasy for great sushi .. is on the upper floor of a hotel and it feels like you’re walking into a hotel room. You’re greeted in the front and guided to the back where the sushi chef prepares their daily menu quality was of course amazing.! Service was also great ! It’s Omakase but you can add on à la Cart at the end. I don’t drink so food alone it was a little over $300 by myself .. it was definitely an experience but you can probably find the same quality sushi at a slightly lower cost

Sushi By Scratch delivered what can only be described as a sublime experience. Chefs Cris and Dohnovan curated an incredible experience where every bite felt thoughtful, nuanced, and creative. They struck a perfect balance between honoring the fish, allowing it to be the star of each bite, while simultaneously adding a modern culinary flair with their unique use of sauces and garnishes. This is one of the top omakase experiences in Dallas, and in a city full of options, and absolute must.

The chefs were absolutely amazing. Not only were they knowledgeable, but they were so friendly and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating a birthday there, and they celebrated with us fully. The food is impeccable— but we would come back for the chefs every time. Thanks so much!!!

It's called an EXPERIENCE for a reason! This was one of the most delightful things I have ever done. The passion, knowledge and care of each member of the staff (Cameron, Sienna, Donovan and Manuel) took the flavors and the fun of the dinner to a whole other level. I had lots of questions about the process, how things are traditionally done, the point of the fan and even the explanation about the wasabi and the music playing. It was just fantastic. We actually got sad when we realized how far we were in the experience and that it was almost over. 10/10 - would recommend. Sundays and Mondays are the best days to go! If you love sushi, even if you just like it, do yourself a favor and book this for yourself!
