AMAZING SELECTION. Seriously one of the best created bookstores I’ve ever stepped into. Excellent use of the space because it’s not super big. But it is very mighty!

For a couple years now, my dog and I have been regulars at Tattered Cover in Union Station. The staff here has always been extremely friendly and helpful, and they even go out of their way to bring in their own treats--and recently, even a nice new doggy bed!--to give to my little fur baby. They're awesome. Above all, I really want to acknowledge the store's incredible manager, AJ. In getting to chat with him over the years and watch him in action, it's obvious how passionate he is about his job. An avid reader himself, he seems genuinely excited to share this love with others. Despite his youth and easy-going demeanor, he's a consummate professional. He takes personal responsibility for the store's success, and talks frequently about ways he's trying to improve and expand it. They hired a new employee recently, and it was apparent how seriously invested he was in wanting to find a great new addition to the team (and she is!). He's also great with customers, and particularly amazing with kids. Whenever I'm there and someone new walks in, he immediately stops what he's doing to see if he can help. This commitment shows. As someone who passes through there just about every day, this location seems WAY busier now--not to mention MUCH better stocked--than it was a couple years ago. It's just refreshing to see someone in retail take such pride in their work. The whole team is great, and I can't recommend this location enough.

Great bookstore filled with all types of literacy. I loved how the staff hand wrote their notes on certain books and how well organized everything is. Definitely worth coming in and grabbing a book.

This is a wonderful place to spend time amongst its books and authors. Quite a huge independent bookstore in a historical building and many complementary items to keep one amused. This is not a 5 minute stop to appreciate their efforts. Allow time to browse and enjoy. Parking is complicated in the evenings as it is all over the Union Station area. We were lucky and found street meter parking for a buck/hour a block away. See pics for the beauty and enjoy a beverage or snack while there. Definitely a must visit while in Denver.
