I had an amazing experience at The Boiling Crab! Our waitresses, Javi and Lluvia, were absolutely awesome. So friendly, attentive, and on top of everything the entire time. They made sure we were taken care of and really made our visit so much fun. The service was outstanding, and it made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back because of them!

This place was awesome and im definitely coming back! The food was amazing, cooked just right, and really fresh. The crab bags looked great and its seems as though the shrimp is a big hit here. The cat fish dinner was soo good. And the gumbo was the best. Not to hot and just right. I definitely recommend! Javi was a good server and made sure we had what we needed before hand.

I usually enjoy dining at this seafood restaurant’s other locations and have always had good experiences. However, this time I felt the seafood here was not as fresh, and the service was lacking—no one came to refill water throughout the meal. It was a bit disappointing compared to my past visits. That said, I still think this chain is great overall, and I hope this branch can improve on these details in the future.

Love this place. Come here from Reno. We got shrimp and crab legs whole shabang medium, lemon pepper fries. You have to try this place if you like shrimp crab etc. came here on a Thursday not many people but still had to wait but that was no issue it went fast. Parked in a parking garage around the corner for $20

Absolutely worth every minute of the wait! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We finally made it to The Boiling Crab in Downtown Sacramento, and even though we had to wait a little over 40 minutes to get seated, the moment that tray of seafood hit the table — we knew it was going to be an unforgettable meal. Just look at the picture — pure seafood lover’s heaven! We went for the whole shebang with shrimp, snow crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausage, all drenched in that rich, buttery, spicy Cajun goodness. The aroma alone made our mouths water. The shrimp were juicy and perfectly cooked, the crab legs cracked open easily, and that sauce? It seeps into everything — from the sweet corn to the tender potatoes — making every bite addictive. It’s messy, it’s hands-on, and it’s exactly what you expect from an authentic seafood boil experience. Don’t come here expecting quiet, tidy dining — this is bold, flavorful, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of eating. The wait was long, yes, but once that food hit the table, time didn’t matter. Boiling Crab Downtown is the real deal for seafood fans. We’ll definitely be back — maybe even hungrier next time!
