The Bookies is one of my happy places in Denver. It is growing in new and fun ways under its new owner, but its staff remains cheerful and knowledgeable. I especially love the children's section, which has a well curated mix of books, toys, games, etc. I appreciate that there's a play area for kids; my toddler could spend hours playing in the food truck while I browse. Special shout-out to the wonderful former teacher who does Animal Cracker Story Time on Saturday mornings! She is just terrific with my chaotic toddler. Separately, the teacher registry is great; I like how easy the Bookies makes it to pick up a book for a local teacher. The addition of book-themed gifts for adults is awesome. I love this place! Bad for the bank account but good for the heart and mind!

Wonderful staff, great selection of new and used books in separate areas, and cool events. I like that they break up Sci Fi and Fantasy because there is enough it both to warrant their own spaces. Good collection of non-fiction used books in the back area, and a fastastic kids section, broken down into straightforward genres. Cozy and comfortable for sure.

I love this store, especially in their new location. It's spacious, and open. The kids' space is well organized and I like the layout with the tables and chairs. The adult book selection is well curated and they've even added some used books!
