Janet Stone
Most welcoming, inspiring and well informed instructors. Best in the city.

Enjoyed the Saturday morning class with Janet Stone and Christian DiMarco’s live music, but the experience was undermined by several people moving around and filming throughout the session, including during quiet, inward, eyes-closed moments. For a practice centered on presence and disconnection from technology, that felt contradictory and distracting. I’d love to see a no-filming policy for future classes, or filming limited to the first 10 minutes.

I have been going to Jason’s class for years, and it is the one modality that has consistently helped me feel grounded over time. His classes are guided with care and intention, with clear instruction on how to move into each pose correctly and a deep attentiveness to the body throughout the practice. What makes his teaching especially meaningful is how he weaves life wisdom into the movement. Through his explanations, he often reflects on how the poses relate to real life challenges and how we can meet them with presence, resilience, and awareness.

Love this space (tall ceiling). You have to try out a yoga class here.

Ashley and Natalia led a beautiful winter solstice ceremony. It was my first time to the space and absolutely loved it. The high ceilings, vibe, energy, organization, flow, pricing, and soundscape were all on point. Ashley has a gift for sure and the solstice ceremony was purifying to say the least. Highly recommended.

I was visiting from Seattle and SO excited to practice again with my favorite teacher, JL, who moved to SF years ago. The Castro Room is beautiful, bright, and full of good energy. JL’s classes are the perfect mix of challenging and grounding, with her signature wisdom & warmth that make everyone feel at home. I left classes feeling strong, open, and so glad I came. If you’re in the Bay, don’t miss JL here!
