My first time and I was impressed…my job had our Christmas party there. Let me start off by saying our waiter Aniya(sorry about the spelling boo)she was Great and matched the vibe. We booked the dome and it was a nice size for 10 people and cute for what we needed it for. Now the food… chefs kiss 💋 I had the crab cakes and the ox tail with grits. Everything was so good. At the very end we enjoyed the champagne squirter😉. Definitely coming back.

Even though it is tucked away in a neighborhood downtown, and there is not a lot of space for parking, it is a hidden gem! We sat outside, very relaxing, the food was excellent! We got the carnivore board and everything was cooked and seasoned amazingly! It did not need any extra sauces or seasonings. And actually, I did try the sauce and it overpowered the flavor that was already cooked with it, so I liked it better without sauce. The truffle potato salad is a favorite now! The only thing I could say about it is the asparagus could’ve been a bigger helping for two, but when I brought it to their attention, they had no problem giving us a little bit extra because they were so tiny. The server did say that they normally serve the big ones, so if she had seen it sooner she would’ve already accommodated for that. Service was very attentive. Would recommend.

Came here for brunch on my bday for the first time. The steak was cooked to perfection, the chicken and waffles was amazing, and the pear seasonal cocktail was delicious! My husband also tried the crab cakes and enjoyed them. We sat outside and the weather was prefect. An added bonus was the live music. When I go back I'd love to bring my crew and reserve one of the tents!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tucked away in the heart of historic Springfield, The District is an absolute gem that perfectly blends neighborhood charm with elevated dining. From the moment you walk in, the warm, family-style atmosphere makes you feel right at home, yet the food is nothing short of exceptional. I started with the maple bacon deviled eggs, which were the perfect balance of sweet and salty—a fun twist on a classic. For my main course, I ordered the shrimp and salmon over grits, and it was truly unforgettable. The dish came with four giant, perfectly cooked shrimp and a tender 6oz salmon filet resting on top of the creamiest, most flavorful grits I’ve had anywhere in the country. The subtle buttery gravy tied everything together, marrying the spice of the seafood with the richness of the grits in the most satisfying way. Beyond the food, the experience is enhanced by their unique setup—you can dine inside, outdoors, or even rent private yurt domes for a cozy, one-of-a-kind evening. Nestled right in the middle of historic Springfield, the setting is as inviting and charming as the menu itself. I highly recommend The District and will definitely be back. If you’re looking for authentic food, a welcoming vibe, and a truly memorable dining experience, this is the place to go!

The Beef Wellington was very good. The puff pastry was crispy. The duxelle was very flavorful. The tenderloin was a perfect temperature. The price is very reasonable. The Braised Short Ribs were very good. It had a good savory flavor and were complimented with the mashed potatoes. We came to get the Wellington but weren't sure about our other dish. Cora was very friendly and told us the popular dishes and gave wine suggestions.
