This was my first time (my brother said he'd been coming to the NY Block Party for 10 years) here and we came for the reggae. They served fire and engineered a blast! We danced the night away and watched folks just being their authentic selves. This place is for all. I mean all types of people were here just spewing good vibes. There weren't creepy dudes trying to bark at us, and we were able to just relax and dance for hours. This was just what we needed. I'm not saying there weren't cute guys, because there were lots. But they were classy and gave us space. A few chatted with us and they were gentlemen. The ladies here were gorgeous and some looked like professional dancers. Loved the moves! We will definitely go again for both the music and vibes. Thanks for the fun! Red gold and green!

I gave this place 5 stars for food since I enjoyed their drinks and their prices. Came here after Portola Fest this year and didn't know what to expect, except for some great music. Not only was the decor nice but the sound system was as well! I was thankful to be in a venue that wasn't just the typical black on black everything with strobe lighting, happy to see the warm hues and wood accents, with cool vintage styled lighting fixtures. Felt classy. Will definitely be coming back.

Great Northern rocks, period. Great music in 3 rooms(search a bit to find the other two) and a cool crowd makes for a killer night out every time. Halloween and New Year’s parties are 🤯.

This club is honestly so refreshing in its design. The art deco meets industrial vibes are immaculate. You can get some amazing photos here and have a great night dancing.

I think the best time to go to the great northern is for a block party. They know how to do it and it’s fun! It extends the space and they have it pretty dialed at this point. Beware that party will end promptly at 9pm because of noise ordinance. But they generally have an after party inside.
