The most unique and honest bike shop in the LA County, the USA and I’d go so far as to say… the free world. The owner, Paul, and his staff all ride bikes to get around and for fun. They can fix anything at a fair price. Oh, and check out his fish tank while you are there.

Paul and his crew know what to do! I thought my bike was a lost cause or would cost too much to repair. Zoo Cycles were able to make my bike ride like brand new! I’m so glad I found them for the quick fix.

Fantastic experience with Paul @ The Zoo. Had four bikes serviced—extremely reasonable and transparent pricing, high quality work, responsive communication via text, finished quickly. Highly recommend for any bicycle needs in the area.

I brought my mid-tier road bike to Zoo Cycles for a standard tune-up and paid extra for a drivetrain clean before a race. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When I picked it up, both derailleurs were rubbing, shifting was worse, and the drivetrain didn’t appear to be cleaned. When I was testing the bike at the shop, my chain fell off when I shifted my front derailleur, and my hands were covered in grease and dirt when I went to fix it. My concerns were brushed off by the employees. I later discovered the front derailleur cable had also been routed incorrectly, damaging the casing and requiring a full cable replacement at another shop which costed me nearly $250 total the day before my race in repairs. The staff were friendly, but I can’t recommend Zoo Cycles for mid-tier bikes or above. I wanted to support a small business, but this visit left me with costly, avoidable repairs and a lot of frustration.

I've been to this place a few times. I've had some good experiences, and then one not so great. The good ones were when the owner / manager was there. But the one time when he wasn't around I had a subpar experience. The amount I paid didn't seem to match what I was quoted. Also they didn't let me know when the bike was ready. Eventually I called them up and they told me: "Oh yeah, your bike has been ready for days". This unprofessional behavior left a bad taste in my mouth, so next time I'm going to try a different bike shop.
