I trained at Unity for over a year and ultimately cancelled my membership after the gym rehired coach Maxwell Williams. My decision was influenced by my understanding that Max has a pending misdemeanor case involving allegations of assault against a woman he was involved with and met through the gym. Separately, in my own experience at the gym, I observed behavior I felt was unprofessional from this coach. I am writing this because women who are considering joining this gym deserve transparency in their decision-making process.

Dropped-in for two days while in town and took back-to-back classes. The instructor Cade (Diamond Back Muay Thai) was knowledgeable and approachable. Angel also stepped in for the Dutch class and I enjoyed his enthusiasm during demonstrations. I liked that their classes are separated in styles (ex. Dutch, Muay Thai). I would say this gym is accessible for all levels. Would stop by again next time I’m in Austin!
Truth Matters
I've been a member for over a year now, and this gym has become my community, on top of being an amazing place to learn boxing skills/technique's. Fellow members are always willing to spar, and coaches tend to have 1-on-1 sessions within the gym, which provides an excellent opportunity to learn through eavesdropping. Beginning can be intimidating, but everyone here knows that and no one will judge you or take advantage by beating you up in sparring, everyone here works as a team and your teammates will go out of their way to help you get better. For people considering giving this gym a try, if you are a beginner, please let your sparring partners and coaches know so they can act accordingly, and please bring a mouth guard when you feel you are ready to spar.

Came here for a trial class and enjoyed it quite a lot. Challenging work, but chill people. Coach Cade in particular is super cool.

Really solid gym with a great vibe. Super beginner-friendly and the coaches actually take time to help you learn. Never feels intimidating. The 24/7 access is clutch. Definitely recommend.
