What could possibly be bad about wine and books? NOTHING. I tell you, absolutely nothing is wrong here. The atmosphere is welcoming, homey, comfortable - and the staff and patrons alike are happy to engage in conversation about their recommendations and best reads! Oh, if I lived here, I would hang out ALL the time. Moving from room to room of this storied old former house, general store, law office, bar, and probably more, gives you different little alcoves to peruse their selection of both the newest in print, or upstairs you'll find the used and vintage books you remember from your youth (or even before!). Pull up a couch, a chair, a table - try a glass of wine, cider, beer, or a cocktail. I mean - it's just perfect. And while you're there be polite and say hi to Edith, one of their ghosts. It couldn't hurt, could it? I will be back here every time I visit Austin!

A lovely stop any time of the day. They have cafe drinks, non alcoholic and wine options. First story is new books and the second is used. Love this concept and loved going in real life!
