I have owned my Sansui 9090DB stereo receiver since 1977. I am now a senior citizen and the receiver needed a major tune up. David performed a complete "recap" replacing all transistors and capacitors and refinishing the exterior cabinet. The sound and look of the receiver is now exactly like it was when I bought this brand new as a teenager! So grateful for David's expertise and prompt service.

David knows his stuff! He fixed a vintage Panasonic am/fm stereo, turntable and 8 track player that was my mother’s. The turntable had stopped spinning and because it had allot of sentimental value I needed someone to repair it. I found David via Google and he was wonderful! Took over a week, not bad at all and it came out perfectly! Very reasonably priced and he even cleaned it up! Highly recommend 👍

Find this repair place on website. Take my Yamaha S3000 SACD. The result is good! David finished the work within 4 days. Reasonable price. I highly recommended to this repair place.

My Marantz 510M amplifier from 1975 had been intermittently cutting out in the right channel for years. I found David and Vintage & High End Stereo - Turntable Repair through Google. I was looking for recent customer reviews and I took a chance with David. As others have said his location was challenging to find but I’m glad I did. Although I paid as much for the overhaul of my amplifier as the original cost in 1976 it was worth it to me to have it working properly. Once David starting working on the amp he sent me pictures and videos of the process of restoration. He also recommended an overhaul of my Marantz 3800 pre-amplifier so I had him work on it as well. After hooking everything back up and testing and listening to my equipment I am extremely pleased with the results and hope to enjoy my Marantz equipment through my JBL L200 speakers for years to come! If you have vintage stereo equipment that needs some work I highly recommend David Tran.

As always, this is the place to go for expert restoration and repair. This man's knowledge is a treasure you don't find too often. I had a partially restored AR-XA turntable that I needed put back together with a new Nagaoka cartridge, and calibrated. I had also found a rare Colton Varilift tonearm lifter that I wanted installed. Needless to say, everything was completed spot on!! The finished product sounds great, looks great...It's exactly what I wanted! David sent pics and vids of the finished TT and had it done in a timely fashion at a reasonable price...Thanks again!

Legendary. That is the one word I would use to describe David's craftsmanship in repair. I brought a mostly dead MAC 1700 in for repair. Not only was the repair timely, the quote free, and the price reasonable, but the receiver came back just about as close to new as it could possibly be. I was **AMAZED** by the quality of this repair and without a doubt will be bringing vintage audio gear to David for service and repair in perpetuity. After I got home to listen to the receiver it was quiet as a mouse and gave the rich legendary sound I would expect from it. There was one small problem with the left channel that I discussed with David and he helped me troubleshoot. It turns out that it was user error installing the case on my end (a bent screw), but he was very helpful and communicative in identifying it. I cannot recommend this shop enough. I would recommend that anyone interested in vintage stereo gear bring something to David at least once to give it a new lease on life....Engineers who take pride in their work and have this kind of know-how are few and far between these days. This shop is an absolute gem.
