Wasabi Jacksonville is one of those places that quietly does everything right. From the moment we sat down, Justin absolutely made the experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, walked us through great recommendations, and struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering. You can tell he actually cares about the food and the guest experience, which goes a long way. The food itself was outstanding. Fresh sushi, bold flavors, and everything came out exactly as it should. You can taste the quality in every bite, whether you are going classic or trying something a little more creative. Nothing felt rushed and nothing felt overworked. Just really solid, well executed Japanese cuisine. What really sets Wasabi Jax apart is the atmosphere. It is casual, comfortable, and welcoming, making it an easy go to for a relaxed dinner, a date night, or meeting friends. You do not have to dress it up or overthink it. You just show up and enjoy a great meal. If you are looking for great sushi in Jacksonville with excellent service, knowledgeable staff, and a laid back vibe that still delivers top tier food, Wasabi Jax is absolutely worth your time. Food was delicious. Our chef, De, was very personable and funny. Only.complaint is we had to pass our drinks and soup/salad down the table and when they clear and set the plates down on surrounding tables, it is unpleasantly loud. Chef addressed my adult children's birthdays with a 'rice cake' with a candle and sang happy birthday which was a nice touch. Lunch prices are very reasonable with very large porions. Thank you!

Absolutely love this place! The food always comes out fresh and delicious. The vibe is lively and the staff are super friendly, which makes it even better. I would also like to emphasize that they have ordinary tables as well, perfect for a lighter meal. You can enjoy options like poke, sashimi, or udon without going for the full Hibachi experience. Plus, they’ve got a solid drink menu and a nice bar at the entrance. Whether you’re here for the show or just a quick bite, you’ll leave happy. Highly recommend!

It's an excellent Hibachi place. It's very popular and generally it's busy. It's a different type of experience where the chef Cooks the food in front of you according to your order and selected items. e.g. someone's vegetarian disc to cook some has non veg and according to their choice. Also they serve beer, alcohol drink soft drinks etc. and there is a bar in the main front entrance

My son and I came in one evening for some sushi and it was good. We decided to sit at the sushi bar (quieter side) and we enjoyed our meal. One thing I noticed after the fact, was that I was billed incorrectly for one of our rolls and it was a roll that was a way higher price than what we actually ordered, so remember to double check your receipt!
