Mat Wolfson When he created Dr. Mat, God found himself in a cosmic, if not theological, dilemma. Upon careful inspection, he had made Mat with a heart so vast that it couldn't fit into his body. So he gave him a barrel chest; but even this failed to do the job, and the Lord soon realized that in order to accommodate the heart size he would have to give Mat a body that was infinite. Thus, God's dilemma. The only chest size that would suffice would require God to produce a second infinite. Two infinites, however., would destroy the very concept of God. God sweated and swore. In desperation, he considered reducing his own size, but in the end found this idea not at all to his liking. Mrs. God, in need of a Sabbath after six boring days sitting across the dinner table from her morose, consternated husband, suggested a solution: "(1) Direct half the love in Dr. Mat's heart into his hands. (2) Toss Dr. Mat into the world embodied in the barrel chest you originally hit upon, but with the capacity, since love constantly pushes his chest to the breaking point, for the overflow to shoot out from his heart into whoever comes within a radius of 6 feet." Which is why Dr. Mat is the undefeated world champ among all living chiropractors, as his many patients will attest. And why, praise be the Lord, God ain't a bachelor.
