Being new to the area, Woodlands Market in SoMa is just down the street from us, so we stop in quite often. It’s a cool little neighborhood market that’s convenient and easy to pop into when you need something quickly. They have a wide variety of products for a store its size, which is definitely a plus. The prices are a bit high, but it works out when you’re in a crunch, need to grab something fast, or can’t make it to a larger grocery store with more competitive pricing. One of the highlights is the salad bar and sandwich counter—both are consistently great. They also have an impressive selection of beer, which makes it a convenient stop for last-minute needs or casual shopping. My experiences with staff have been mixed. The team in produce and the deli are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which really stands out in a positive way. They make the store feel warm and neighborhood-focused. On the other hand, interactions with cashiers and the person working in the pharmacy/health section haven’t always been great. Some staff members seem unwelcoming and could benefit from additional training around customer interaction. I’ve also noticed cashiers openly swearing while talking amongst themselves, which doesn’t feel very professional. Overall, Woodlands Market is convenient with some great offerings, but consistency in customer service would really improve the experience.

A local gem, indeed! They’ve got a great selection of produce, snacks, and a solid salad / hot bar offering. Good prices — probably what you’d expect at Whole Foods tbh, but given the rest of the neighbourhood, it’s as good as it’s gonna get! Most importantly, everyone that works here is so wonderful, welcoming and warm.

Great shop with lots of food options. The salad and food bars are always stocked with delicious items. It's a good quick stop for everything from groceries to sushi to beer.

This is a fantastic local gem! I loved their diverse and extensive selection of healthy food and unique drink options, that aren't available at other stores. It's also a huge bonus that they are dog-friendly. While they are a bit on the pricey side, the quality and unique offerings make it well worth the occasional splurge.

Sandra at Woodlands did an incredible job with the flowers for both our civil wedding celebration and my baby shower. Everything looked beautiful and exactly how I envisioned it. She was great to work with — responsive, thoughtful, and reliable. Highly recommend!
