Businesses like these aren't really around anymore. Super honest, warm and helpful. I know I trust a mechanic when they encourage me to do things that would make them less money. Came in thinking I needed new tires (prepared to spend $100+ not including labor), Greg told me the tires had years of life left and told me I should just continue using them. He also told me my wheel bearings were going out, and unfortunately the ultimate fix to that is to get new wheels. Despite him having some in stock he could sell me, he tightened them up the best he can and told me the wheel would still last perhaps a year or more and I should use them till then. He probably could have made at least $300 more out of me but he didn't.

I can’t say enough good things about Greg, the owner of Archer. He’s the only person who was willing to take on my e-scooter repair when no one else would consider it. Greg took the time to really understand the bike model, and even after discovering new information after the first repair attempt, he went back, reworked it, and made sure everything was truly fixed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in doing things the right way. On top of that, he’s incredibly kind and honest. I’m really grateful for his help and would recommend Archer Bicycle to everyone.

I don't even write reviews but I can't recommend Greg enough, he was a lifesaver after getting sold a less than stellar $$$ bike from another shop, solved major problems I didn't even know I had the day before a big cycle trip. Brakes, gears, chains - oh my. Affordable, fast, plus you're getting service from a mechanic with 40 years experience. I don't think theres anywhere comparable in the Bay for repairs and used bikes.

Seriously kind and helpful. I completely stripped a bolt trying to fix something on my own. Greg patiently walked me through what I had done wrong, gave advice for next time, and got everything back in working order. Lovely shop as well. Thank you!

I came in to purchase an inner tube and bike levers! Greg was incredibly courteous, and, given it's my first time doing my own service, he gave me a detailed tutorial to go about the replacement. He's a great guy, and I'll definitely be back.
