On June 21, 2025, I visited Avalon Laser to treat a few facial spider veins after seeing the doctor’s work on social media. What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in serious complications (see photos attached, with dates). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared deeply indented and damaged. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an ER, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO2 laser session or microneedling. I did undergo one CO2 laser session with them, but ultimately decided not to continue treatment there because I no longer felt comfortable in the hands of a nurse instead of a doctor's. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Nine months later, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone 7 procedures in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, expensive and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing nightmare. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. I came to Dr Tirgari with a botched surgery; after having been turned away, given inflated estimates, and even been insulted by other doctors, with Dr Tirgari I felt like I was talking to one of the star doctors from the Botched tv show, he was just as empathetic and kind. He helped me, did a great improvement and did not overcharge me.

This is my new favorite place! Laleh and Raiza set me up with a laser facial plan to address my skin’s melasma discoloration and a scar on my face from an accident. I thought I would have to deal with these issues for the rest of my life but after only three months my skin has never been clearer! They even offered me a free facial just for being a loyal patient and Laura gave me the most hydrating and relaxing facial I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back! They can have all my money.

I’ve been getting my laser treatments at Avalon Laser, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The entire team is so kind and welcoming, and they really make you feel at ease. They even surprised me with a complimentary facial, which was such a treat. Laura in particular was wonderful she explained everything thoroughly and made the whole process feel so comfortable. The facial itself was amazing, and I’m just so grateful I found this place. Definitely recommend them!
