Oak Cliff’s hidden gem I’ve been coming to Bold Strokes for over 5 years now, and it’s honestly one of my favorite places in Oak Cliff. The vibe fits the neighborhood perfectly. Creative, welcoming, and full of good energy. Every time I walk in it feels like catching up with family instead of just getting tattooed. Hakishi, the owner and my main artist, has real talent and an easygoing energy that makes every session chill. His attention to detail and care for his clients show in every piece. The whole crew is friendly, professional, and always make sure the space feels inviting. It’s the kind of shop that represents Oak Cliff. Local, authentic, and rooted in community. Whether you’re coming in for your first tattoo or your tenth, Bold Stroke makes you feel at home.

Walked in on a Saturday and was greeted by Andrew. He was very friendly, professional and reasonable when it came to the price. He worked with me and combined his idea with mine and knocked it out of the park on the design. Friendly and good conversation while the work was being done. The tattoo is clean, and amazingly legible, and was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I will definitely be coming to him for any future work.

Hakishi was super awesome real down to earth guy, and made the overall experience super fun relaxed and light hearted for my sister’s first tattoo. Great customer service and the art came out really well. Definitely recommend Hakishi.. he’ll hook you up with a tote bag too 😂.
