Joaquima is meant for this career! She was so warm and kind, and talked me through exactly what she was doing with each step and why. I learned so much about my specific hair type and how to get my curls to be their best. I left feeling great and my hair has never been better.

I have been going to Joaquima for about 5 years now, I can not suggest a more professional and talented burly hairstylist!

Joaquima did such a fantastic job on my 5 year old hair. She explained everything she was doing and gave me a great styling routine to do with her. She was super friendly and very patient with my wiggly daughter. I would highly recommend for children.

asked for a bowser cut over the phone and in my appointment description. i’m in the wash bowl getting my shampoo and conditioner and she just starts cutting without telling me?!? never in my life have i seen a curly stylist do that.. even my go-to stylist back home said it’s not good practice. she said she was cutting “obvious damage” and before we got started said she wouldn’t cut more than half an inch.. she cut 2 inches on both sides of my heads EASILY. left me with the strangest lopsided cut my stylist has to fix. yes i had 2” of damage at the bottom that my stylist back home had worked through all year, with only 2” left to fix. i DID NOT agree at any point to a 2” big chop. extremely unprofessional. i was very calm, looked at my cut hair, dried my own hair and walked out the appointment. i offered to pay for the wash but she just let me go due to how obviously violated i felt. really a horrible experience i still can’t believe she did that.
