This gym was great when it was Gold's. Crowded, but well managed with a great sense of community. Since Eos acquired the gym, the quality has suffered significantly. The locker rooms seem to be cleaned less frequently; they're now filthy and always smell bad. Towel service was transitioned to a separate add-on without even a heads-up to members. It's still a well-equipped gym for serious lifters, and parking is validated for three hours, but I'd look elsewhere if you want a place that's clean and pleasant, and if you want to enjoy amenities like steam room.

Reiterating what others have said, quality has gone downhill since Eos took over Gold's gym (and it wasn't really that great to begin with) it's especially more noticeable with the dirtier locker rooms and equipment not being maintained. What's worse is they took away towel service and are now charging an extra $10 a month for towels! Anyway, be more like me and ask one of the daddies at the gym to open the towel rack for you, then just steal the towels and use them.

Not very tourist friendly, I asked for a day pass and they wanted to charge me £40. The gym looked new but could tell the equipment is not top notch and does not equal £40 for 1 hour work out. If you are a tourist wanting to work out do not come here unless you are willing to pay that.
