It's crazy to me how positive these reviews are. I love ice cream and I've been to tons of shops, and this one was incredibly disappointing. I had the cookies sundae, and all 3 of the scoops of ice cream we had were very lacking in flavor, and they just loaded on the whipped cream to mask how small/average sized the scoops of ice cream were. We also had a significant amount of mint ice cream make it into our bowl (which isn't part of what we ordered) which was annoying as well. It was $20 for the whole thing which isn't necessarily bad, especially for it being a touristy area, but it was definitely too much for this quality. I would recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for something that actually tastes good. Go here if you're just looking for the experience/to take pictures, but avoid if you're looking for good ice cream.

Iconic coffee shop in the heart of San Francisco. A little pricey, but worth it. We had their classic hot chocolate and salted caramel hot chocolate. Both were wonderful! Highly recommended.

We go the Lands end and it was overly flavorful, and too sweet. However, it had a nice design to it.

Ghirardelli Chocolate To Go at Ghirardelli Square is a convenient stop if you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to wait in the main shop. We grabbed some chocolate bars and a milkshake—quick service and same amazing quality. Tip: It’s perfect for picking up gifts or enjoying a treat on the move. Prices are still premium, but you’re paying for Ghirardelli quality and the San Francisco experience. Great option when you’re short on time but still want a taste of something iconic!

I went there on Sunday. It was very busy with a long line, but it moved fast. The frozen hot chocolate and sundae were good. The San Francisco Maritime is just across the street. You can walk around and see the views of the pier after getting some dessert.
