Loved how nice it's to just walk in get what u need instead of ordering on line and waiting why your bike is down. The owner is so cool also.

I have had many terrific experiences with James at Got Bikes. His prices are not inflated as I have read in some reviews. He worked on a few of my bikes and is super knowledgeable and professional and actually tried to save me money. His shop is organized and he gets the work done when he states it will be completed. I would bring any bike to him and know that if he works on it and says it is ready, it is. If he tells me something may need to be replaced, I know he could do the work or tell me I could do it myself and save money. That is how you know you are dealing with a great shop and a good guy!

I had a bad experience here, and frankly the other 1-star reviews track with my experience. I brought a used bike in recently that I bought on marketplace. I rode it a few miles prior to buying it and could tell it needed a bit of work, but didn't seem too bad. He looked it over for a few minutes and then quoted me $165 for a tune up plus $31 for some parts that he noticed needed replacing. Total initial invoice was $198.91. He said I might need to replace my pedals, but he would let me know. I agreed and mentally prepared myself to spend a bit extra. This was on a Saturday. He let me know he was going to aim to have it done by Friday (6 days after I dropped it off). Friday came and went and I hadn't heard from him yet, so I texted him to check in the day after. He responded a few hours later and let know it would indeed need new pedals ($30) and a new crank arm ($30). I agreed. So far so good. Then he let me know of more issues he found and let me know the total price was going to be $311.25 (and that depended on if he could straighten the back wheel, which he hadn't said he could yet). At this point, it was already 50% more expensive than his first quote (and it seemed like it could go even higher). I was curious if anything about the bike was salvageable if it really needed this much work, and asked if he would be interested in buying it for parts. I was just curious. If he had said no, I was still interested in still paying the $260 for the repairs he initially quoted me. Instead, at this point he assumed I was somehow acting in bad faith and became very aggressive via text. He asked me to pick it up that day, even though this was 20 minutes before he closed. When I said I couldn't pick it up with only 20 minutes notice, he said he would leave it by the garbage. Ultimately, for the price of $25, my wife picked it up the next business day (the following Tuesday) in pieces. The $25 fee was a "storage fee", which by the wording on his own invoice shouldn't have kicked in until it had been waiting to be picked up for more than one business day. Let me pause, and reiterate. He charged me $25 to pick up my bike, which was previously rideable, taken apart. He claimed this is because I "refused service" but I never actually did. I planned on using this for an event this weekend, which I have now had to cancel because my bike is in pieces. I would have been better of never coming here and riding the bike as it was before dropping it off. After he quoted me over $300 to repair the bike (which basically meant it was totaled), I was curious if there was any salvageable value in the bike. He could have simply said no, and asked how I wanted to proceed. He could have given me alternate options for repairing within my budget. Instead he became aggressive, assumed I was somehow acting in bad faith, and ultimately charged me $25 to pick up a bike in pieces which I now will need to take to another bike shop. This makes me sad. In a way, it felt like he was punishing me for not wanting to spend 50% more than his initial quote. Why he wasn't willing to work with me to find a compromise is beyond me. In his head the options were (1) repair the bike to 100% perfection, charing the customer whatever amount that takes, or (2) scrap the bike. I will not be returning and I suggest others think twice before visiting, especially if you're bringing a bike in need of repairs.

This place has saved my butt many times w/all the flat tires I get & it's located close to home. James is personable yet professional & is good at his job. He runs a clean efficient shop with various biking (and electric bike) related products as well as having a solid lineup of bikes and ebikes for sale. Repairs are reasonably cost & it's clear this guy knows his stuff so I've never run into an issue w/regard to James fixing whatever bike related problem I'm having. I would def recommend his shop especially if you're looking for a fast turn around & cost efficient solution to your biking or electric biking issue!

5 stars for the owner James! I bought a cheap bike from Craigslist that needed some work - so glad I took it to got bikes. He got the work done in no time. He is great - knowledgeable, and very friendly. Highly recommend!
