In my opinion, a good book store is inviting and had a wide variety of (preferably older) books. The first editions section is lovely!! So many amazing options it was hard to choose. I particularly loved the around the world section. I'm always searching for those books and they were laid out so wonderfully by country/continent.

A visit to Denver should include a visit to this place! A charming and comfortable space. An excellent choice of books, well curated, nicely presented, easy to browse. Great selection of all genres. Old and new, especially looking for charming vintage or collectibles. An excellent selection of children's books too. this is one of the best shops you'll find!

Hermitage is a dream! I left with several books I had never been able to find in-person before, especially children's literature. We were visiting from out-of-state and the gentleman who helped us carefully wrapped and stickered each of our books so they would travel safely; it almost broke my heart to unwrap them when I got home! I really hope to visit again someday. :)

In a city that moves as quickly as Denver, having an anchor for mental decompression is vital. The Hermitage is a beautifully preserved archive of thought and my favorite place for finding stillness. This shop is not about volume; it is about curation.
