Great coffee store, recently bought a French press and grinder to make my own coffee at home. Had no idea what I was looking for when it comes to coffee beans. The staff were really knowledgeable and friendly, they helped me find 2 bags that are both very good and cheaper than I was expecting. Will definitely go back for more when I need it!

Nice store. Nice service. Very good choice of coffees. But they are not transparent about their roasting date. When asked they give you a rough date but you don't know if you specific bag is from that batch. I had some coffee bags that were ok but just bought a new bag and it seems like older beans to me. Anyway, whether beans were older or not, they should be open to provide when the specific bag of beans you buy has been roasted. Other roasters do. Thanks for the answer below, I appreciate. I understand the reasons behind your decision. If everything is sold within a week of roasting, I agree it is not needed. Not sure about 2-3 weeks (I see big difference in crema). While personally I would still prefer seeing roasting date, I understand your reason and I upgrade my review to 4 stars.

Great coffee and nice staff. Super helpful and great knowledge of coffee. We always pick some up to bring back to San Antonio. The Columbia Santander is a solid choice.

First time trying this establishment under the new ownership. I am super impressed and very grateful that we have such exquisite beans right here in our very own Houston. Worth the 40 minute drive for us from Kemah. You can take my word for it or better yet, I encourage anyone to stop in and try it for yourselves. I always favor single origin Ethiopian varieties but am excited to try other kinds from House of Coffee Beans. The quality, freshness, and care just blew me and my wife away. As daily coffee enjoyers, having this close (ish) to home makes us very happy. Can’t wait for our next trip back. Wishing the best to the new proprietors. Any praise you guys get is well deserved! :D
