Leica Store San Francisco: A gallery-like haven for Leica cameras, lenses, and expert guidance.
Leica Store San Francisco blends a showroom with a photography gallery, offering a wide selection of Leica cameras and lenses, bags, and books. Customers praise friendly, knowledgeable staff who answer questions and offer demos, and the store hosts events and photography classes. The space also showcases photographers and invites visitors to sign up for the mailing list. A minority review raised concerns about a non-original part and customer support.

Have done business with them on and off. Recently had a poor customer experience where they resold an online purchase I had made and then tried to sell me a broken camera as a replacement. Also the new photographers they’re bringing in to the gallery; there’s no way they’re in the same canon as Cartier-Bresson. This store caters to tourists in and around the luxury shopping district near Union Sq. The equipment is solid, just make sure you get what you want from them before you leave.

As a blue collar novice walking into a downtown high end boutique I get treated with kindness and openness. My dumb noob questions get answered without judgment. I am grateful for the opportunity to connect at the Leica store Sf.

“Disappointed with Non-Original Part and No Customer Support” I purchased a Barnack IIIf from the Leica San Francisco online store. They didn’t give me the chance to review it directly, which is why I’m posting here. The camera itself seemed fine (which is why I’m giving two stars), but the take-up spool was noticeably too thick, making it difficult to remove. It didn’t appear to be an original part—more likely a Russian knock-off. I reached out to customer service multiple times by email regarding this issue, but unfortunately, I never received a response. I was both surprised and disappointed that they would sell a camera with a non-original component and then not follow up when contacted.

Nice and friendly customer service. I went there to get my camera checked because I saw a dust spot in the photos I took. The salesperson helped to check my camera and remove the dust. They have a lot of vintage collections, too.
