Best location to sit for vipassana during week days and join a group sit on weekends.

I attended a 1-day Vipassana course at this center in NYC, and it was a delightful surprise to find such an oasis amidst the bustling streets. The course took place in a small hall on the 10th floor (see pics), quite different from the spacious Dhamma houses in India. The course began promptly at 9 AM and concluded at 4 PM, with a lunch break from 12 to 1 PM (lunch is not provided, but participants can go out to buy food). This center is a fantastic resource for NYC residents, offering weekly 1-day courses. However, it’s a bit of a drive from Hartford, CT, where I live, taking around 2 hours on winding roads. If there are any fellow Hartford residents interested in attending or organizing group meditations locally, please reach out.

I’m new to the Vipassana community, but want to see this place live forever. Great for solo or group sits with other old students. We go every other Friday.

I had an incredible experience at the 10-day silent Retreat and this was a great reintroduction to the Vipassana meditation process
