Pinpoint provides the most personalized training I've ever experienced, and I've worked with a lot of trainers. I started training at PinPoint two years ago when I was recovering from a serious foot injury. Shakina was warm, welcoming, and most importantly, nonjudgmental from the first moment I walked through the door. I lovingly refer to her as a “knowledgeable cheerleader,” because of the positive energy and competence that she exudes. Shakina intuitively knows when to push and challenge me but also when to stop and listen in order to help me grow. Her approach to fitness is client centered, holistic, and strength based. She has helped me focus on fitness as a journey rather than a destination. But Shakina also gets results! When I started at PinPoint, I was a former athlete who had become totally deconditioned by my foot injury, motherhood, and perimenopause. Now I have significant core strength that serves me in many aspects of my life. I can run, chase, play, and lift up my active six year old daughter in a way I wasn’t able to before I started training. Also by strengthening my pelvic floor I no longer have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. And I am starting to address my nutrition which has always been difficult for me. My cholesterol has gone down and I am no longer considered pre-diabetic. Shakina and PinPoint have improved my quality of life in so many ways; I am continuously inspired, challenged, humbled, and grateful.

When I started training at Pinpoint I had chronic shoulder pain and the trainer was able to create a program that fit my condition at the time. Working with me over time I feel was able to be in the best shape and have continued to he strong. I love their dedication and professionalism.

I’ve been going here for weight training for two years. As I get older I find it’s important for me to increase muscle mass and just my daily activities and gardening wasn’t doing that for me. Studies have shown that weight training can help with bone density and other aging issues. Plus Shakina is hella fun.

i started going here because it's convenient; i live very close by. but having been a member here for a few years now, working with multiple trainers, even if i moved far away i'd make the trek back to the neighborhood to continue. it's so well organized that the cozy space never feels cramped, and it's the perfect size to make connections with fellow members and cheer them on during their workouts. as a result, there's a fantastic community here. the fact that i lost a bunch of weight and look great now, frankly, is just a bonus.
