Happened to be staying close by and wanted an easy family dinner the night we arrived, and found Pizza e Birra. Food was so good that my kids insisted we go back again before we left town. Everything we had on our two visits was amazing but some can’t miss options are the lemon arugula salad with prosciutto, the pizza fries (my wife doesn’t even like pepperoni but couldn’t stop eating them), the margarita pizza. and the Nutella pizza for dessert. You can tell they only use high quality fresh ingredients, they have a great beer selection and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Of all the food we tried in San Diego (seafood, Mexican, breakfast, etc) this was our favorite by far

Pizza E Birra is so wonderful! Sam treated us like family as soon as we walked in! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! Thanks for the cheesy bread, cannolis, and the incredible service!

By far the best pizza, so good!!! Brought the kiddos and the dogs and they had water bowls for dogs and chalk for kiddos! The owner was so nice!

Just landed in San Diego airport and my kids wanted pizza!! BEST first place we could’ve walked into for sure. Owner came out and greeted us, and talked to us a bit, brought my kids some chalk to draw with and the food was great. Would definitely recommend to anybody

Pizza e Birra is one of the hidden gems of Midtown. My wife and I stopped in today and had one of the best lunches we've had in a long time. The service was incredible. The owner was super warm and engaging. Took excellent care of us. The pizza was outstanding. Excellent authentic feel and not greasy at all. We both ordered the lunch specials and were told the pizza was the equivalent of two slices. Well, each order seemed like it was a whole pizza! Very generous portions and neither of us could finish, leaving us with excellent leftovers for later. We didn't have any beer, but they had a great selection. We sat outside in their charming covered patio area, perfect for a San Diego Saturday afternoon. We highly recommend it!
