Prohibition Proper is a great local barbershop in a really convenient spot off Murfreesboro Road. Parking is easy and straightforward, which is always a plus in Nashville. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how comfortable and clean the shop is. It is not flashy or over the top. Just a relaxed place where you can sit down and get a good haircut. Pam did an excellent job with my haircut and beard trim. She took her time and it shows in the final result. I much prefer supporting small businesses, with local owners, like this. In my experience the work is better and more personal. I will definitely be back and would recommend Prohibition Proper to anyone looking for a good haircut or beard trim in Nashville.

JD served us on 2/21/26, he is awesome! My son got a beard trim and I got a shape up, we were both pleasantly surprised and pleased considering it was our first time visiting. The shop is quaint, cozy and a ton of cool decor.

I fly all the way from Seattle WA to get my hair cut here! I have been multiple times and it is excellent. I found it while on business in Nashville and it is by far the BEST!!! Atmosphere and cut are a CUT above the rest!!!
