It honestly saddens me to even put this review… I found exactly what I needed and what I wanted which made me super happy, what completely ruined everything and led me to leave all my stuff and leave, but not without mentioning something to said staff. I understand loss and prevention completely, but my husband and I were followed throughout the entire 5 minutes we were in the store. From the moment we walked in, to the moment before we decided to leave. It was incredibly uncomfortable specially when you’re doing nothing wrong and about to spend over $100 in stuff I don’t find in my small town. I spent 3 minutes deciding a color for my hair… Lady dark blonde/light brown hair, not big or small, in blue jeans and a brown sweater made her way around us over 6 times already. Honestly from the moment we entered the store, she was by the front door, within seconds she was near us watching us mind you we were near the back area…. Moving things around but everytime I caught her looking. I didn’t mind the first 3 times but… It became excessive where I felt like I was being thought of as suspicious. I found my hair color and I moved to look for some lashes. The lady made it to where we were at and walked past us and started eyeing my pockets and again, made her way around and then AGAIN there she was. I have never had this type of experience. My husband and I are business owners and have great paying jobs… we do not need to steal from anywhere. This, specifically coming from a woman with our same skin color and roots… I felt discriminated by my own kind. Nobody in the store was getting followed but us. This lead my husband to ask the woman, if there really was that much need to follow us everywhere, we are not stealing, to where she replied, I’m just doing my job. I mentioned to the lady, well, I understand you’re doing your job but i feel very uncomfortable with the way you are watching us, I can’t even decide what I want. She just stayed quier, but she stayed right there. Still watching. I decided to leave the 7 items I grabbed on one of the shelves and I told my husband let’s go, as we were leaving, we asked for her name, she refused to give her name, which is fine. Point of me saying this, is you never know who is coming into your store and how much money they will be spending. And as an employee, it is your job that people leave happy and not scaring customers away. As a regular employee, I can understand why they don’t care, but as a business owner, this is money that could’ve been consistent walking out the door. I myself as a business owner, would never my money walk out of the door just like that. In another note, she might be better fitting for a security position.
