The staff was nice. Most staffs and patients are Filipino. The facility was clean. They make it every way to help all the patients and get what they needed.

It is December 12th today. I have been trying to see someone here since early October. I've had 4 appointments and every single time I show up to my appointment but the doctor does not. They don't bother calling me to tell me the doctor didn't show up instead I travel here and they tell me "oh the doctor didn't show up so we're going to have to schedule you an appointment 2-3 weeks from now. I take the new appointment and what do you know the doctor doesn't show up again. It's like messing with my mental health is a game to them. Well it's not funny AT ALL. So frickin MAD

The staff and doctors work hard and they have always been respectful, helpful, and understanding. This place saved my life. Hands down. When every other clinic in SF was turning me away, South of Market Mental Health took me in and treated me right away. It can be intimidating to sit in the waiting room with so many others that suffer from a variety of mild to severe mental health issues, but as long as you're aware and you have understanding.

This is a mental health facility, dealing with people who could very possibly be suicidal or on the edge of a mental breakdown, and yet they make it near IMPOSSIBLE to get treatment started. I came in on 2 separate occasions to get anxiety medication before I left for my summer internship; one of which had to be a walk in that took all day. The second was difficult to schedule, so it ended up being weeks later. As part of their treatment policy, even at my second appointment I was not officially a patient and could not receive treatment. I had to leave for my summer internship because of how difficult it was to schedule a third appointment, and now that I am returning they told me I need to start the whole process over because they closed my file. People with serious mental health conditions may take longer than a couple months to return for treatment, and yet by the end of the summer I am unable to be treated. This is what is wrong with our system. This is why people who need the most help do not get it. Unbelievable, and unacceptable.
