I recently went to this optical place for an eye exam without insurance, and they told me I needed glasses, so I trusted their judgment and spent $600 on a pair. After waiting three long weeks for them to arrive, everything looked blurry and wrong the moment I put them on. When I returned to the store hoping for a refund, they flatly refused—no returns, no money back. Instead, they suggested I pay out of pocket for another exam as a “second opinion,” with the vague promise they might help afterward. Frustrated but determined, I did exactly that with a different doctor, who confirmed I don’t need any prescription at all. I sent them the new report as proof, expecting a full refund, but they still wouldn’t budge. Their only concession was to let me turn the unnecessary glasses into sunglasses for a credit. With no other options left, I reluctantly took them up on that offer—only for it to drag on another three weeks with the glasses still not returned to me. It’s obvious their initial exam was inaccurate, their staff refused to take responsibility, and corporate clearly doesn’t care enough to make it right. I won’t be going back, and I’d strongly advise anyone else to steer clear unless you’re okay with the very real risk of being misled, overcharged, and left with no resolution.

I had a great experience here! The office is nice, clean and smells great. All staffs are extremely nice and welcoming. I was in a rush to get out of the door and they were able to accommodate me and still be very throughout and sincere. Would definitely recommend Dr. Matsuda to anyone who is looking for a new optometrist.
