Edit: The rock gods have answered my prayers: throne replaced. Actually makes the world of difference. Thanks Yore team. Gets the job done at a fair price and easy to access/load in. Decent amps and they are in good condition. Drums are eh, but that's what you get with shared drums. Cymbal stands were surprisingly sturdy for shared gear - not stripped. Definitely in better condition than some other hourly studios I've been to, but it's definitely been beaten up. Bring your own cymbals, snare, and kick pedal. Throne height is broken and stuck low (pretty common) so bring your own. Also maybe bring something heavy for in front of the kick. Rec for the owner: maybe supply a cinder block or sandbags so the kick drum doesn't slide around. Cymbal sleeves would be great too. I get not wanting to refurbish stuff like drum heads, but sleeves are cheap to resupply. Overall would love to be back, but may come more prepared next time.
