horrible store - save yourself the trouble & do not go here ! i was promised delivery over 6 months ago & am still begging to get my product after paying over $1,000 dollars. the store deleted my review because they are not willing to take responsibility for their lack of communication.

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE!! Riq, the owner either doesn't understand accountability or just doesn't want to. My wife and I liked a Moroccan leather bag on Dec 12. It was supposed to have two buckles but one was missing, which we did not mind buying as is. Since Riq himself offered to add the buckle free of cost, we didn't mind paying upfront and coming back to collect it. He texted 3 days later saying the bag was to be ready on Dec 16 but on checking with him on the 16th, he said his delivery truck ran late and it’d now be there the next day, Dec 17. Since we had travel plans on 17th, we texted him asking for a Christmas Eve pickup. No response from him. After our trip, on Dec 26, I called to check status. He said "it was ready". So I went to his store and he handed me the bag exactly as it was when we first saw it. He said the buckle didn’t arrive in time from Morocco. I told him "you could have said that on the phone before I came here". He said "well you are here now". Hiding my anger, I said "if you need more time, I can come back later when its fixed." He agreed to fix it and reach out in a week after New Years' since apparently that's how long it’d take for the buckle to arrive from Morocco. We texted him later the same day asking, in writing, for another timeline. No response again. On Mon Jan 5, we texted him asking for status. He said to come on Sat Jan 10 after 2 pm. We asked for next Monday and clearly laid out the terms "two buckles, no repair charge, correct?" He texted back 5 days later, on Jan 10 "Correct, absolutely no fee, second buckle added. The buckle just came in yesterday, arrived a little late but its here from Morocco, see you next week". On Mon Jan 12, we texted him at 3:08pm saying we would come later that day. We got there at 6:10pm to find it closed. Google currently says the store closes at 7:30pm. I called him. It went to voicemail. He texted back next day "we are by appointments on Tues, Wed-Sun regular hours. Would you like an appointment today?" An APPOINTMENT. To collect a BAG! Eventually we agreed to meet on Jan 14. When we got there, he happily handed us the bag, still without the buckle. I ask him "where's the buckle?". Yet again, he says some nonsense about something coming from Morocco. I was exhausted to the point I didn’t want to hear his excuse. Only reason I didn't explode there was because he had stitched the strap such that it works without the need for a buckle. I calmly voiced to him about setting expectations and not meeting them. Quickly and casually he said "I apologize", then said "sorry for the delay, we’ll send a $25 credit via text in a week". Ofcourse it never came. Riq failed at every opportunity thrown at him and single-handedly ruined every angle of customer experience - 1. failed to do what he promised 2. failed every single one of his own timelines 3. failed to respond timely or altogether 4. CASUALLY LIED ON CALL AND TEXTS 5. openly disregarded clearly laid out expectations 7. failed to abide by publicly listed store hours 8. asked to book an appointment to pick up a bag and then proceeded to hand us the bag while smiling at us. I don't think he realizes what happens at the customer's end because of his lack of care - the traveling and parking time and costs we incurred, or what a customer perceives when he says "your item is ready". I really believe that everything from his viewpoint wasn't a big deal. All he had to do was either not raise an expectation to begin with, or at some point simply say "sorry I’m unable to add the buckle as promised". So much of this hassle over a tiny buckle could’ve been avoided and I would’ve given him a decent review based on honesty alone and the beautiful store he has. But if he cared about customer service, he’d have already noted the bad reviews he has, especially the Yelp ones. I'm convinced any response I may receive from Deep House on this review will either be a miserable lie or another excuse. But forget about customer service, how about not lying to the face and then smiling back like nothing happened?

Great experience shopping for my son’s new apartment here! Enrique was wonderful, spent so much time with us helping to pick out great pieces that really complemented my son’s taste. A very personal experience for unique pieces. If you’re looking to decorate your space with unique and interesting pieces this is the place to go! And don’t forget to ask for Enrique!

What an unexpected find! We love coming here - there is always something new and unique. Rick is so knowledgable and has incredible taste - this is by far one of the best furniture stores I've ever shopped at. We absolutely love our Cloud Sofa and it was a fraction of the price of larger retailers. We came back to buy this beautiful acacia wood table, custom chairs, bench and GORGEOUS travertine desk! It's not just furniture, but Deep House also has some incredible vintage finds from high end designers, local clothiers, home goods and beautiful leather bags. Everything is a fraction of the price and so well made. And hold your breath, but the best part is there is no long waiting time for custom pieces! They also have white glove shipping - I honestly can't say enough about this store. JUST GO
