This is genuinely one of my favorite gyms. It has hard-working vibes with top tier equipment for all of your needed exercises. The staff was super welcoming and helpful, willing to give tips and have sincere conversations. The staff member named Noah helped me get set up and he was extremely helpful and super cool. If you want to sweat and put some hard work in while enjoying your lift, this is the place for you.

Wes and his team are knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, and challenging in the way you would expect of career fitness professionals. Gymgoers are considerate and mindful. The selection of equipment is diverse if a bit tightly packed. Class schedules are very accessible. The facility is clean and well-maintained. This IS very much the neighborhood gym I'm happy to call my 'gym home' though Oak is not perfect. Oak's decoration is a classic 'bro gym' aesthetic. It leans heavily on Arnold-era bodybuilding imagery. While that may motivate some people, it can feel at odds with modern, injury-aware, sustainable training philosophies. It comes across as emphasizing pushing through pain rather than listening to and safely challenging your body. A few swaps in decor choices could shift the messaging from 'nothing less than perfection will do' to 'every human body can achieve greatness' which Wes and staff already embody. While the temperature is set well, the lack of fans causes the air to stagnate and the temperature to be uneven. The east side of the gym is frequently 10-15ºF degree colder than the west side where the cardio options area. Deploying a few fans in strategic places would improve the experience dramatically. Last and minor note: Oak's parking is limited and a bit awkward to enter or exit. Given how tightly packed the neighborhood around the gym is, I'm not sure how this could be better addressed. If you drive anything bigger than a compact SUV you'll struggle to park. You may even end up parking along a nearby street.

Great gym with solid equipment and neighborhood feel. Wes is the man—knows his stuff and really willing to take the time to offer detailed advice. Highly recommended.

I've only been a member for a couple weeks, but everyone has been very welcoming, even to a gym newbie like myself. They have a sauna, a cold plunge, and showers if you're on the go. The facilities are always clean and the equipment is always operational. Can't wait to continue my fitness journey here!
