I’ve been coming to Urban Yoga Spa for almost a year now, and it has genuinely transformed my relationship with my body and my practice. The teachers here are exceptional — each one has really dialed in their flows, and there’s something special about finding an instructor you connect with not just personally, but in the way they guide the work. Special shoutout to Ashley and Lexi, who have been absolute favorites of mine. My practice has deepened in ways I didn’t expect. A little context: I tore my ACL in 2020, went through the full surgery and PT recovery, and while I healed, things just weren’t quite the same. Showing up consistently to the early morning classes here has given me a way to care for my body outside of work hours in a way nothing else has. It’s been quietly life-changing. And the hot yoga room? During a Seattle winter, it is an absolute gift. Getting my muscles warm and pliable means I can actually use them the way they’re meant to be used — it’s made such a difference. On the value side: their two-month unlimited yoga offering for $99 is an incredible deal, and they’re also available through ClassPass, which makes it even more accessible. Whether you’re brand new or coming back from an injury, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for the warmth, the flexibility, and the care you bring every single day.

wanted to book a class on classpass but saw the review below about checking for IDs. And then i saw on classpass they ask for a washington ID. i have my ID - just not a washington ID. i’m visiting from out of town. and after i called - they said this is a washington resident only studio. which is not disclosed anywhere on their website or socials. (yikes) and seems like if i had booked it they would’ve turned me away - only because i am a nonresident. i’ve never heard of studios doing this. and classpass is used widely across america so that people can travel & still enjoy their classes. this is not the way to avoid sneaky customers. this just feels gatekeepy and unprofessional. i get that the owners could be frustrated that some classpass users create new accounts to get the first credits free. but there’s just better ways to handle this. it’s especially weird and off putting to limit your studio to Washington residents only. not a great business model and not very effective.

I booked this studio through Class Pass and when I arrived the receptionist told me I couldn't take the class because they have been experiencing theft from Class Pass users. She told me she would call her boss to see if they could do anything but then when she asked for ID, while calling I told her I didn't have it on me and I usually just show a picture or the reservation itself. She told me she couldn't do anything because they were just robbed by a Class Pass user the previous day and they were arrested etc etc. Nothing to do with me. And honestly, not my business either. But it's a problem that I stopped my run to make the class and I booked it that morning. They could've let me know via email or canceled my reservation. Time is very important. It was a 6pm class so too late to book another studio and now I have to coordinate with Class Pass to get my credits back. Even if I ran home to get my ID, they wouldn't honor the reservation because of a previous theft which has nothing to do with me as someone coming to the studio for the first time. The woman told me if Class Pass charged me, they'd see what they could do for me... you can't return time. What a joke. Edit: Class Pass charged me $12 because Urban Yoga never canceled the class like they said because they can't and it registered as no show. Only Class Pass can cancel or the user. The receptionist lied to my face like I wasnt going to find out...ummmm. I got a refund but it was a horrible experience all around. I would have appreciated if they just canceled the booking when they received so I didn't waste any time and have to deal with the headache. And it's really weird to lie about canceling so I wouldn't be charged when I would find out later. It has less to do with the ID because I live 5 minutes away and even with it, she said I couldn't take the class. Unprofessional.

First hot yoga experience and loved it. Staff and other students were friendly and helpful. They had a nice locker room with plenty of options to store stuff safely during class. Right next to a coffee shop for a quick post-class drink.

I visited Seattle and had an amazing cup of coffee next door. Michelle (owner) was incredibly gracious is giving me a free hot yoga class since I was there on business. The yoga class was absolutely incredible and Michelle helped me get comfortable for an advanced class. I really wish this studio was in CT. I would highly recommend trying. Post breast cancer, I felt truly empowered. Thank you, Urban Yoga for such a memorable experience led by an amazing married couple!
