Oversold membership plus the nickel and diming thats been going on is getting out of hand. Dyson hair dryers does not equate to a $50 increase per month. Paying influences to do tiktoks shouldn't mean a 3% increase in membership. Not every little expense you incur should be the members responsibility. The hotel guests getting full access to everything is also a bit ridiculous.

03/03/2026- just got an email that they will be charging 3% on credit cards. They will do anything to take more money and add zero to the club. Where are the plunge pools and relaxation areas?? We are going to start pricing other places. Midtown is a nicely constructed club. Pros: good classes and instructors, nice decor, good food, outdoor yoga in the summer, and new equipment. Cons: oversold memberships, waited in line now 2x for a shower in one week, over crowded steam room, classes don’t have equipment for all members, way too many people in certain classes, do not update basketball court schedule and seem to allow children to run around like crazy, kids on machines in workout areas, teens taking selfies in the locker room, no lockers available during peak house, so crowded during peak hours I waited for treadmill 3x this week, they are still selling memberships, pool is just a kids playground, the black pavers and chairs were not a smart design idea for the pool (they get super hot). There is no adult friendly calm spaces. Only reason I am still there is I love instructors, Paul (body pump) and Kristen (yoga). I enjoyed the Barre class but that is getting overcrowded now too. Please stop accepting new members! You will start to lose the people who can afford the price. We are going to see how the next 3 months go but if they keep selling memberships we might have to find another place.

I was a member here for about four years, mainly because it is the closest gym to my home. While it has always been expensive for what you get, I was willing to pay for the convenience and expected level of service. Over the past year, however, the club has become extremely overcrowded. I raised this concern with management and was told it was just seasonal and would calm down after the holidays. That has not happened. The problem has only gotten worse. On most visits you have to wait for nearly every piece of equipment, and the pool is often crowded and not maintained to the standard you would expect at this price point. The facility simply feels oversold. When I finally decided to cancel because the gym was no longer usable for me, I ran into issues with their app not working and then was told I would be charged for an additional month due to a cutoff policy I had never previously encountered. After years of membership, this felt like a disappointing and inflexible way to treat a long-term customer.

Not bad, great gym. Even better are the staff. They are second to none. The support and billing team as well especially Billy. Amazing. They do their best and it shows well. Thanks for being a great place to thrive Midtown!
